AS A CLINICIAN:
Coach Sioredas has been a featured clinician and has conducted training camps across the country including The Martin’s Granby School of Wrestling, Terry Brands’ Wrestle the World Training Camps, University of Missouri Wrestling Camps, Old Dominion University Wrestling Camps, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Wrestling Camps, and Workhorse Wrestling Camps. He has also been featured at the NHSCA High School Nationals, United States Southeast Regional Training Center, Oklahoma Coaches Clinic, and Team Michigan Fargo Training Camp. He has held private training camps at several state championship high school programs across the United States and continues to train some of the nation’s best student-athletes.
Coach Sioredas’ unique style has been influenced by wrestling under some of the country’s the best coaches. It has allowed him to understand the fundamentals of the sport and what it takes to reach the next level. Jon’s extensive knowledge of the Granby system combined with the intensity and fundamentals learned while training under Coach Brands allows him to bring a unique perspective to the sport.
AS A COACH:
Coach Sioredas finishes his 6th and final year at Old Dominion University. He has been instrumental in the success of the new era of Monarch wrestling, helping crown four All-Americans in the past five years, including a NCAA National Finalist. The Blue and Silver have been also been ranked in the Top 25 dual meet rankings in four of the past five years. His team also did extremely well academically. They earned 11 Academic All-American awards during his time and finished the 2011 academic year ranked Top 5 in the country for team GPA. Coach Sioredas also played a key role in going 6 for 6 in Top 20 ranked recruiting classes, with 3 ranked in the top 10.

BEFORE COACHING:
While working on his graduate degree, Jon worked as an Account Executive at a business communications company in Virginia Beach, VA. His primarily focus was on corporate sales. He was also a part-time graduate assistant coach at Old Dominion University.
AS A COMPETITOR:
Sioredas is no stranger to success. After spending three years at the University
of Missouri, Sioredas transferred to wrestle for NCAA and World Champion Terry
Brands at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. With only two years under
the helm of Coach Brands, 2003-2005, Sioredas moved from a Top 20 athlete to
being ranked second in the country.
Sioredas was TheMat.com's national wrestler of the week for defeating Oklahoma
State's national champion Johny Hendricks. Sioredas was a two-time conference
champion, wrestler of the year, and outstanding wrestler. He finished his senior
season with All-American status by taking 5th place at 165 pounds helping UTC
to a 21st place finish at the 2005 NCAA Division I Tournament. He also excelled in
the class room, being named to the National Deans List. In 2012, Sioredas was
inducted into the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Hall of Fame.
A 2000 Great Bridge High School graduate, Sioredas was part of the #1 ranked
public school team in the country. Individually, he was a Virginia State Champion,
All-American and National Champion. He amassed a 181-13 career record,
becoming the fourth winningest wrestler in Virginia High School history.
